7 HILLS of KIRKLAND: May 26th 2008
Seven Hills of Kirkland is right around the corner! As we have for the past several years (and last year for the first time officially as uBRDO) we will be out there providing free service and support! Come by and say hi!
In addition to our support of the event this year we are also offering a service special now through Memorial Day Weekend! We will be discounting "The Standard" bike tune we typically offer for $85 to just $75 for all 7Hills registered riders. In addition to this, $5 from every Standard tune and above we perform in the shop will be donated to KITH in support of their continuing efforts to help displaced and homeless families on the Eastside.
CARNATION TIME TRIAL SERIES: 2008
Put on by our friends over at FootWorks Cycles, this is a great little series for getting out to stretch the legs or training for bigger events. Races are just $30 and you can save some dollars if you sign up for all 3 races...
There are three days of racing through the summer:Sunday April 6th, Saturday June 7th, and Sunday July 13th... all races start at 7:00am. there is a series title at stake as well as some killer prizes!
BIG BUS to WHISTLER: May 16th-18th 2008
It's official! We have a swanky bus, we have lodging, we got a killer deal on lift tickets... we're going to Whistler for opening weekend of the mountain bike park! We'll be leaving Kirkland on Friday, May 16th and returning on Sunday the 18th.
There are only 42 seats left... Hurry and get your deposit in to reserve your seat!

MITCH!
The biggest complaint any of us have with Mitch is that we never know where she is... Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Australia, Iceland, Australia, Croatia... Well she is off again, this time indefinitely traveling around the world.
In March of 2007 we dropped her off at the airport and she's been at it ever since. Starting in Australia, seeing some old friends, making her travel plans and generally chillin' for a few months. When we got word she was on the move it was up through Asia: Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam... then up to Italy and down to Croatia where she visited family and attended language school. An unexpected visit back to the states, and then back to Croatia, up to Ireland, a week traveling up the west coast of Norway by boat... and now she's in Nepal!
She never ceases to amaze us and always manages to make us intensely jealous (we still can't figure out how she does it... although when it comes to savings she is a financial genius!). Sit back and enjoy...

Craiger (aka: Scatman)
In 2007 Craiger left Seattle straddling a bike... over the course of the summer he pedaled down the Pacific Coast to the Mexican Border, boxed and shipped his bike and then walked back up the Pacific Crest Trail to the Canadiene border; then pedaled back to Seattle.
The kind of trip that makes us all jealous for it's scope and length, we can now follow along a year later: he is posting a picture and short blurb everyday that corrsponds to that day of his trip last year.
An accomplished thru-hiker, he now has the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail under his belt... his sights are set on the Continental Divide Trail which will complete his goal of the Big Three.
Keep your eyes peeled for cards coming from craig as well... he has some incredible photos of his trip we're waiting for him to get printed...
